This lot of Meridian from Crosby Hops was speaking to us to be the focus of a beer, presenting sharply defined Meyer lemon and fruit punch notes. After blending some of our hoppy oak-aged stock ales, we introduced this new world variety as a hardy dry hop addition to highlight these bright, expressive notes. We’re getting some tropical notes, citrus, and a slight hit of wintergreen followed by a crisp and dry finish. Wren marries the elegance of a rounded oak-aged beer with a refreshing, clean quality fit for these warm late summer months.
